Supervision for Students & Provisionals

Starting off in the field of psychology can be tough and overwhelming at times. Danielle provides supervision in the areas of clinical and counselling psychology to Provisional Psychologists as a part of their registration. Supervision is conducted through direct observation, co-therapy (where relevant), case consultation, ethics and standards review, site visits and ongoing professional development.

Group supervision is also available.

EMDR Consultation for Clinicians

Consultation is one of the best ‘next steps’ for clinicians who have completed Basic Training in EMDR Therapy.

As a Consultant-in-Training, Amanda provides consultation to clinicians who are looking to learn skills and methods to enhance their knowledge of EMDR and build confidence their practice of EMDR. I assist therapists with goals of:

• completing consultation requirements for EMDR Basic Training (10 consultation hours)

• obtaining EMDR Certification Status (15 of 20 consultation hours)

• building skills and confidence in using EMDR therapy

Consultations will include, but are not limited to, the following topics:

• Formulating strong case conceptualization

• Evaluating client readiness for EMDR Therapy

• Screening for and understanding Dissociative Disorders and Dissociation

• Ensuring fidelity to EMDR procedural steps

• Strengthening understanding of the Standard EMDR Protocol and modified EMDR protocols

• Selecting appropriate targets

• Exploring transference and counter-transference issues

• Addressing any clinical questions or concerns
